The property was in disrepair and had lost any connection to its urban surroundings...
Solution:
Because the existing concrete block and wood fences were unappealing and isolating, we demolished them and erected a more attractive, durable rod iron fence. The addition of climbing, flowering vines to the fence had an immediate greening effect, creating a friendly yet secure environment.
New concrete patios create a functional space in front of the house. Small designed spaces provide pauses throughout the property.
The street entrance has been enlarged and reconfigured as a funnel shape to convey a sense of openness. This simple move makes the entrance more comfortable. The once derelict property is now a proud member of the urban fabric.
